PVP Fleet Protocols
This will be a refresher and rimer for how we will be running fleets in pvp situations. All pilots will be expected to follow these guidelines and especially, follow their FC.
These roles and tactics are subject to, and likely will, change as we develop both in pilots skill and player.
During PVP fights the fleet will be divided into subgroups for the purpose of control by the FC. Each fleet will consist of an Fleet Commander, a Sub-commander, and the various sub fleets. (please note, the "sub-fleets" is only in the voice communications, all pilots will be in the same eve fleet.
Specialized "Spider-Fleets" will follow a different set of parameters to be discussed later.

FLEET COMMANDER:
Ship Profile: Low threat, high tank
Ship Types: HAC, Command ship, BS
Character Profile: Knowledge of Ship types/Fittings, Tactics,
Function: Direct fleet on battlefield, tank more than gank, try to remain on field.
Sub-Function: Apply DPS/RR support, Buffer Tank
Ship Profile: Low threat, high tank

SUB COMMANDER:
Ship Profile: Medium Threat, Tank, DPS
Ship Types: HAC, BC, Faction BS, T3, Recon
Character Profile: Knowledge of Ship types/Fittings, Tactics
Function: If Fleet Commander is taken off field, Sub Commander takes over fleet.
Sub-Function: Apply DPS, Ewar, or tackle support, Buffer Tank
Ship Profile: Medium Threat, Tank, DPS
Ship Types: HAC, BC, Faction BS, T3, Recon
Character Profile: Knowledge of Ship types/Fittings, Tactics
Function: If Fleet Commander is taken off field, Sub Commander takes over fleet.
Sub-Function: Apply DPS, Ewar, or tackle support, Buffer Tank
"Tackle" Fleet, First Contact:
Ship Profile: Fast Tackle, High Scan resolution or cloak, Small to medium engagement range (1-35km, 1-50km for Recons/T3's), Long Range Point
Ship Types: Stealth Bomber, Interceptor, T3, Recon
Character Profile: First contact requires "scout" ability as well as field awareness
Function: Provide First tackle on target, DPS (100-300),
Sub-Function: Speed/range tank, must survive long enough for fleet to arrive
Ship Profile: Fast Tackle, High Scan resolution or cloak, Small to medium engagement range (1-35km, 1-50km for Recons/T3's), Long Range Point
Ship Types: Stealth Bomber, Interceptor, T3, Recon

Function: Provide Medium to Heavy DPS (400-1000+) on target within engagement range (1-50km),
Sub-Function: Buffer Tank, Drone Support against smaller vessels, Exra tackle
Ship Profile: High DPS, Buffer Tank, Medium engagement range (1-50km)
Ship Types: BC, BS, T3, Faction BS/Cruiser
Character Profile: MUST be able to follow FC commands without question, Must desire to see things explode...
Function: Provide Medium to Heavy DPS (400-1000+) on target within engagement range (1-50km),
Sub-Function: Buffer Tank, Drone Support against smaller vessels, Exra tackle
"E-war" Fleet:
Ship Profile: Heavy E-war, Long Range, Mobililty
Ship Types: Recon, T3, Anything with strong ewar
Character Profile: Must be able to navigate targets on field, Must survive as E-war can be critical
Function: Reduce enemy fleet effectiveness, ECM, sensor Damp, Nuets, Webs
Sub-Function: DPS is secondary, E-war Function is critical, Must remain on field
Ship Profile: Heavy E-war, Long Range, Mobililty
Ship Types: Recon, T3, Anything with strong ewar
Character Profile: Must be able to navigate targets on field, Must survive as E-war can be critical
Function: Reduce enemy fleet effectiveness, ECM, sensor Damp, Nuets, Webs

"Support" Fleet:
Ship Profile: Remote RR, Shield, or Energy
Ship Types: Logistics, BS, T3
Character Profile: Must be able to navigate watchlist as well as follow FC
Function: Keep Fleet Alive, normally will chain with a 2nd logi pilot
Sub-Function: Drone Support, Keep Fleet alive at all costs
Ship Profile: Remote RR, Shield, or Energy
Ship Types: Logistics, BS, T3
Character Profile: Must be able to navigate watchlist as well as follow FC
Function: Keep Fleet Alive, normally will chain with a 2nd logi pilot
Sub-Function: Drone Support, Keep Fleet alive at all costs
All pilots will be expected to develop a "Regular" fleet style that they can be relied upon for it. We dont want pilots flying a Basi for the first time n a major battle, we want experience. Pilots who show aptitude in their chosen function will be known as "Regulars" and will be asked to fill those roles as often as needed.
For instance, our top Falcon pilot may have a new tengu to fly, but in a fleet fight, his falcon is trustworthy, and we may rely on it in our tactics. In this instance, the Falcon would be his choice unless unable for some reason.
We will practice these tactics more and more as we find the fights available. Expect our tactics to change and evolve as our fleet compositions do. The important thing is to keep organized, and no matter what...
