Static: The constant exit from a WH system. A "static" WH will be a specific type of WH (C247 is an example) that will always exist in a WH system. Once the current "static" times out, or is crashed, a new one will form in system.
Locus: Also known as the "J-number", this is the closest thing to a name used for system identification. An example would be J124747.
Ops Report: A Report sent to Our payroll operator (currently Windorian) In order to recieve payment for running combat sites. In order to take payment, all required loots and salvage must be submitted into the corporate deposit tab. An example of a report is below, including sub-text explanations:
J123747 (Sytem in which sites were ran)
Felstaff Wind Vaarun (Pilots in fleet for op)
Completed 3 Fortifications and 2 outposts (The number and type of sites completed, this is important as the sites vary in difficulty and payment.)
All deposits in
Wind
"Fizzy": A Wh which is Time-Crit, or on the last phase of it's life before it despawns naturally. This time will vary based on the type of WH, but can be used to forcast how long you have until the WH collapses.
"Swiss-Cheese": A WH which contains atleast 3 or more active WH's other then the connection from Leeole. Either by invaders, or random "Floatie" Wh's, it's not uncommon to see multiple WH connections in a Static WH system.
"Floatie WH" : A WH which can randomly spawn anywhere, in any system. These WH connections do not exist as statics, they appear at random and when they despawn or are crashed, they randomly choose a new system. This includes both WH's and K-Space systems.
"Floatie Ship" : An unmanned ship left floating in space, normally within a POS shield. These ships can be left by accident, due to insufficient storage space, or as a scare tactic. Having many ships appear on D-scan can make pilots believe tehre are many pilots and the odds are against them.
Crashing: The proccess of repeatedly jumping back and forth through a WH with the intention of running out it's mass allowance and causing it to collapse. Normally BS sized vessels are used. They are also fitted with BS sized MWD. When activated, these MWD add up to 50% additional mass to the BS, making crashing much faster. This also adds an extra layer of control.
Over-watch: A tactic used in WH's to provide added security from invaders. A single combat probe will be dropped and moved out of D-scan range from as many planets as possible. The probe is set to 64km scan range, and all known and confirmed ID's are ignored. The pilot doing overwatch would then scan every minute or so. Since all ID's are known and ignored, any new ID that appears can be assumed an invading WH. If it appears while runnign a fleet op, the fleet should withdraw until the ID can be pinned and the threat level assessed.
